Next Reflex Dance Collective offers various educational options for schools and organizations. From this page you will find information regarding school workshops and performances, community workshops, residences and commissions. Our educational opportunities give participants the tools to look at movement through various lenses and encourage them to think about how dance relates to their life.

School Performances and Workshops

NRDC offers various workshops that apply to the age level of each audience. Schools can choose to have just a performance or just a workshop or both. Please see the various topics and workshops available to your students. All workshops and performances focus on how to watch dance and includes collaborative work between students and artists.

Here are some of the classes offered:

  • Improvisation - Students experiment with different improvisational movement games and create dances from improvisation.

School Performances are generally 30 to 45 minutes in length and include various pieces from NRDC's repertory. Students have the opportunity to watch and contribute guided feedback on what they see and experience.
